Printer finder — four questions, the right model
Picking the right unit should not require reading a dozen reviews. Our quick quiz asks four questions about how you actually work, then narrows our catalogue down to two or three honest recommendations drawn from real published specifications. The quiz is free, takes about thirty seconds, and does not require an account.
How the quiz works
- What you print most: plain documents, photos, mixed colour pages, or a bit of everything.
- How much you print: under 200 pages a month, 200 to 1,000 pages, or more than 1,000.
- Whether you also need scan, copy, or fax features, and whether you want an automatic document feeder.
- Roughly what budget you have in mind, in dollars, including running costs over the first year of ownership.
The output is a short list. Two or three matches, in plain English, with the reasons each one fits. No upsell to a bigger model than you need. No bundled accessories you did not ask for. No fake urgency.
Why four questions
Most buying mistakes come from matching a printer to the wrong workload. A model built for under 200 pages a month will overheat and feel sluggish in a busy office. A workgroup laser will sit unused in a spare room and cost too much per page when you only print fifty pages a week. The four questions cover the variables that actually matter — volume, content type, multifunction needs, and budget — and skip the marketing categories that do not change which model is right for you.
